I see queen to g8 being a good move for white, but then then black can get out of check moving knight to f8, which both their rook and queen protects.
Rook to f6 for black as shown in the image wasn’t a real good move, since if white queen did move g8, And the night followed up by moving f8, white queen could put the king in check again with Qg5
Of course I could be completely wrong, but that’s how I see it.
