Can you imagine in real life if you talking with people on the street and they came up to you and started correcting your gammar and said I can't take you seriously otherwise? I'd imagine he'd get punched in the face alot.

All chess forums are supposed to have a formal setting. We are supposed to discuss topics that are not related to chess.The problem with the off-topic forum is that its crowded by 10yos who use this site/app as social media. What are you supposed to discuss with people who use “mah” instead of “my” because it sounds edgy? Forums arnt chatrooms, but all these people treat it as a chatroom.
