Facebook links has not bothering me at all, until now then I found this annoying thing in my playing area.
Premiums would at least have the ability to turn off these links.

Facebook... Read "1984".Or "Farenheit 451". Neither writers would have dared imagine the reality!
'Social networking' sites... "lets have fun", with the NSA -or just everyday crims - watching all. Sneaking, creeping, perving, plotting, waiting waiting waiting and people are just handing out the invitation. A totalitarians dream!
I agree with you 100%, drewfair. Maybe all one can do is refuse Facecrook at all times and take advantage of any opportunity to question this insidious creature.
Yes, not dissimilar to reward cards, another insidious spy in the human camp. I'm considering having my head tattooed 'NO I HAVE NO REWARD CARD, NO I DO NOT WANT A REWARD CARD'....yet people flock bah bah to the small sweeteners offered, as if there's is the gain..no your losing your identity to the hyper world of global retail, and lets be honest greed.
Quite honestly, I am sick of the whole facebook/twitter thing.
"oh, I'm getting a cup of coffee, let me tell the whole world about it' LOL give me a break
I normally get annoyed by the whole "let's live in a fishbowl" Facebook stuff, but I sort of like it for Chess. It makes it real easy to share an interesting game with friends.
yep, it has its place, its just that that place is every place, and call me paranoid but when something gets so vast and intrusive i fear for our individuality, id be happier in a world of lots and lots of mini mini, tiny tiny, ichi in-chi fb style sites all independent of one another, mined you for the brief time i did participate in fb, my friends spanned the world, Winston Churchill was 3345780 closely followed by A Hitler at 3900421, how diverse crossing such divides as politics, war, life and death...
I know I was happier in a pre-Facebook, pre-Twitduh world. And I'm pretty sure I preferred things before the Internet. Really, the Internet is the perfect Military/Industrial-Complex creation. We've surrendered unconditionally to the Internet. It has been the capitalists joy and the militarists wet dream. Spend up big and practice your weapons skills at the same time. And pay to be spied upon...

Why the need to go to one website in effort to play a game on another?
I just got done throwing a cigarette butt in the air, and catching it! Wow! See you guys in a couple of minutes! I love Facebook! Will someone friend me while I'm gone?
Yeah it annoys me that every single time I refresh, I have to manually click on a facebook add in my chess.com page to have the add go away. I have a premium account, and I can choose to not have chess.com games posted. But the add reapears each time I login or refresh. How many times do I have to say no the the same question? I know and will know until I get a disease and forget my identity that I can login to my account and choose to post my games on facebook. I don't have to be reminded all the time.
(I love facebook...sort of. I just don't want my galaxies colliding.)
help! has facebook pervaded every walk off life, and every site on the Webb? seems there's nowhere i can go without inadvertently passing my pointer over a Facebook link, and triggering the login sign up protocol. Seems there's no conversation i can hold without facebook cropping up in some guise. Even here on c.c and another chess site i visit, facebook has arrived, please can we have a fb free zone for those of us who appreciate our space (no punn) our freedom of mouse and mind ?
