There is no cherry picking with acknowledging Isaiah 2:22, K J V declares what to cease from, and that certainly is the deceiving false foundation beginning Gen. 2:6-9 that's absolutely in complete opposition to The Very First Chapter Of Genesis. *Snip*

This is cherry picking. It happens because of actual inconsistencies in the text suggesting lack of authenticity. Then there are also texts that conflict with personal belief or practice that people gloss over

In the end, faith is more than just the book. I believe most Christians believe god is love and that's commendable. But cherry picking passages to put down or restrict others is what has to be stopped.

Yes. I hope you don't find that insulting. It's just that if you pull up a list of popular conspiracies, you probably believe in most of them. Now some of them may be proven true later but for now they're what they are.

Also you seemed shocked previously about Yahweh's association with other pagan gods but that's mostly cultural history.

All we have is our "worldly" knowledge to help us understand anything further. How can we hope to understand anything beyond without it? Where does discernment come from?

Did not my post say discernment is seeking and finding? That's not a thing to do with a worldly discerned concept of any seeking, type discernment.

Seeking to me is gaining spiritual understanding, truth.

That means nothing. You seek and you find many. How do you discern the one between the many? They are different stages of the process.

And what did you think science was?

What I would say is going on here is slight confliction because I'm calling out the conflictor throughout the Holy Scriptures. Absolutely more what appears to be going on here, but............. w h y ?

Actually, I read ALL of the Bible, not just the more "pleasant" parts.

Unsure even if biblical scholars feel they have "read" all of the Bible. Translations, inconsistencies, unclear authorship, text omissions, scribe mistakes, cultural and historical context, personal belief systems etc get in the way.

The simplest sender message medium receiver communication model is already error prone. Add to that intermediate messengers and translations and context.

I technically read every word in the Bible but I am QUITE sure I didn't understand every word. I sure hope I didn't sound arrogant because I STILL have SO much to learn!

Not at all. Just wanted to point out there are different levels of reading.

Seeking and finding surely finds The Holy Spirit guides how it's to be understood, interpreted.

Matthew 7:7-8

King James Version

7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened

You have a friend with a dog soon passing from him? You should introduce him to SCIENCE AND HEALTH and have him read the wonderful testimonials, probably even, well not in that Book but other testimonials from Christian Scientists, where they had a dog fully recover from whatever, even claimed old age.
