nyarlathotep

Gosh, that's a tough one Peon...I'd have to say it's a toss up between "Escape from L.A." (yes, the second Escape movie), or "The Thing" (the remake with Kurt Russell).

Granted I also love pretty much every single zombie flick ever made, so *shrug*

Indemnity

My favorite movie changes frequently and really can't be narrowed very well to anything less than 5.  However, if I had to tell you right now, without even looking at my movie collection I'd say.... The Departed.

Now, if you would like to talk about directors then I'd say (in no particular order) Michael Mann, Riddley Scott, Sam Mendes, and Akira Kurosawa.

My favourite movie is "Dead Poets Society" with Robin Williams. It is a brilliant film that can capture the heart of anyone! On a journey through love, life, and literature you will be awe struck my its majestic essense.

I could never narrow it down to one... Terminator 2, The Last Samurai, Star Wars IV and Saving Private Ryan would be some of my favorites.

Schindler's List.  Great film, but difficult to watch.  When they give Oscar a ring that they have made, to say thank you, it always makes me cry! Laughing

I have never seen that movie. I will have to go rent it.

My favourite movie is "The Others" with Nicole Kidman. This is a great movie I would recommend to everybody. I also like "Saw", "Texas chainsaw massacre" and "Aliens" very much. And of cource - an old and very nice soviet comedy "Ivan Vasilievitch changes his profession".

I'm a big fan of horror and sci-fi but one movie I really love is neither, it's called Shimotsuma Monogatari (english title: Kamikaze Girls). It's a great movie and I highly recommend it! Kamikaze Girls

Lord of the Rings Return of the King
greersome

I love movies, couldn't pick a favourite.  For me, a movie has to be original, evocative, potentially thought provoking, and creative.

I really liked:

Fight Club

The Game (Michael Douglas and Sean Penn)

Pi - indie film, great!

Shawshank Redemption

Doctor Strangelove - "Gentlemen, there shall be no fighting in the War room!"

LA Confidential (I love film noir!!)

As i said lord of the rings rox Smeagul...so freaky...."My Precioussssssss"

Smeagol is the second most annoying movie character of all time... second to Jar Jar Binks, of course. Aside from that, I thought Lord of the Rings was great.

I will throw in my hat with the Lord of the Rings, but I think you have to take al three movies together.

on the comedy front, how about Fletch, Airplane or Caddyshack?
