We ALL possess immortality already!... Is it not true that Energy can neither be destroyed nor "created"???

U just went from spiritual to physical hon.

All living things decompose over time. Immortality rests in the spirit. Take it from me. happy.png

Thanks... you reinforced my point 😉

Someone knows their physics.
Energy can neither be created or destroyed.

Huh ?

Energy can not be destroyed - true.

However, energy is being newly created (in the form of new mass) constantly, as the universe expands.

Actually Energy is unlike Matter.
It can be transferred yes, but it can't be created.

indeed energy is not created per se but it only changes forms... it changes vibrational frequencies through cause and effect.

E=MC*2

Take a wild guess what [ = ] means

Could it possibly be Energy = Mass squared ?

Or in other words Energy and Mass are the same thing - Basic physics

One can be transformed into the other

Energy is not matter.
Matter is either gas, liquid, or a solid

Mass is what makes up matter.

Please freaking learn some physics.

Can't be created ???

Says who ?

Can't be created from existing energy - true … as energy is conserved.

But quantum physics has much to say about the creation of new energy/matter.

The 1st Law of Thermodynamics is no longer applicable in this realm.

According to Einstein theory of relativity, Mass and Energy are different MANIFESTATIONS of basically the same thing.

LOL

You got this ass backwards

Matter is what makes up mass.

As we all know, “matter” is defined as “anything that occupies space and has mass,” and “mass” is defined as “something that represents the amount of matter in a particular space, particle, or object.”

In simpler terms for those still learning basic physics:
Mass is a measure of how much matter is in an object.

WHAT??? All things, liquid & solid, gaseous & etheric; even magnetic & electric, gravitational all the way to the "empty" (lol) vacuum of space is differing frequencies of ENERGY...

moods are Energy... but there's a Sacred Principle which makes up ALL, & that is the *Creative Fiat* differing rates of Vibration! I never ending cycle; AS ABOVE, SO BELOW

My physics teacher has debunked your argument Tilted_Patzer.

She has told me Energy is the ability to work.
Mass is the space that makes up an object.

You are wrong.
Go learn some physics.

Perhaps your "physics" teacher should get a new career;  I'm sure they would be awesome bagging groceries... At least then they wouldn't be in the position to spread disinformation from the old "physics"

You're getting closer DFS for the definition of energy. But still way off base for mass.

My physics teacher has debunked your argument Tilted_Patzer.

Energy is defined in many ways, but specifically in physics, the simple definition is"

"The capacity for doing work". [Capacity and ability are not quite synonyms in physics.]

Next: the simple definition of mass in physics is:

" the quantity of matter in a body regardless of its volume or of any forces acting on it." [Mass is a Measurement, not a physical property and certainly not "the space that makes up an object."] Matter is the physical property, and depending on quantity, units of measurement are used to describe the mass of an object. Mass should not be confused with weight (force) or volume(space). Don't worry, even physics teachers get confused over the difference between mass and matter.

Hope this clears it up for ya.

note: You may want to ask your physics teacher about your claim -

Energy is not matter.

He/she may be able to help you out with this, but take their explanation with a grain of salt, especially if they have "debunked" Einsteins' Theory of Relativity.

Good luck and good chess !

Measuring Mass
Objects of similar size, or volume, may differ greatly in mass. A bowling
ball has more mass than a basketball even when both are the same
volume. To find out how much more massive a bowling ball is than a
basketball, you can measure their masses. Measuring mass involves
comparing the mass of a particular object with a standard unit of
mass. For example, you can find the mass of a bowling ball and a
basketball using a pan balance like the one below.

A balance beam is pictured.
One pan holds the ball. The other pan holds metal blocks that all
have the same mass. When the mass of blocks equals the mass of the
ball, the pan balances. A beam balance works in a similar way.
However, instead of placing blocks on a pan, you slide a standard mass
along a beam. When the beam is level, you read the mass on the beam.

A Measurement given in standard units of mass.

Saying "Energy is not Matter" is the same as saying a boiled egg is not a scrambled egg.

Energy and matter are Manifestations of the same thing (same as the eggs), with the difference being their present form.
