Are they the only two choices? A fool talking about what he knows nothing of, or a bore who says little or nothing? Can't there be interesting people who carry their share of the conversation and make sense and make you think about things, possibly cause you to re-think your position on something?

Well, if you had me against the wall and I absolutely HAD to choose between those two options, I guess I'd go for the blundering fool. There's little worse than boring.

so a fast idiot is ok? my thoughts exactly. met a guy in salt lake city who said youre driving uphill when you travel from denver to chattanooga because of the shape of the earth. seemed like a smart kid too. guess he didnt understand how spheres work. fun conversation though.

Whether or not it works, it is not one of the choices he gave us. It is confusing, illogical, perhaps even slightly immoral.

it is said you shouldnt suffer fools, but i disagree. i think you shouldnt suffer boring people. a fool can carry on a conversation, most of what he says will be wrong and hilarious, thus entertaining. id rather be entertained by an idiot than bored to death by one word answers and monotone discussions. agree or disagree?
