It's not worth using. Any halfdecent player will evade it and you will just end up being in a bad opening position.
Why it's easy to use? Because it's four moves long I'd guess.

There have been other conversations on this topic, but, to reiterate, the Scholar's Mate, or four move checkmate, is so well-known, and so easy to see attempting to use it against anyone over 1100 will often lead you to a weak position, as most opponents will have memorized the suggested counter-variations for the mate.
simple answer is against beginner yes against players over 1200 not a chance
