Identify as whatever you like, take on as many lovers as you feel you can cope with, there are no rules except for the "norms" your society places upon you ( I hope you challenge those norms as they very well may be remnants of a puritanical bygone era)

That's sound advice--except I don't knowhow to even start identifying me if I'm not sure that I'm demisexual or if it's possible to be bisexual and demisexual--

Perhaps you could identify as a bisexual demisexual for the short term??

I am actually recognized as female, but this doesn't stop me from understanding other peoples' point of view. They can be whatever they want to be! We shouldn't keep rules and regulations for them. In my personal opinion, it's wrong to just say "choose." 

But that's just my opinion.
