I gotta say though, whilst there would've been natural predators such as wolves and lynxes that have been hunted until near extinction by humans. But humans have realized that this was wrong and killed the forests, which is why hunting these natural predators is illegal

I don't automatically think of animals as undeserving tho, some humans are complete scums, there is no denying that and then we have rescue dogs like the ones which are sent out in the mountains when an avalanche happens. Life is life
