Nice.
Ghosts are my only comfort. (Poem)

we trauma bonded over soggy Cheerios
my soul is a haunted thrift store
and the mannequins whisper
“you peaked in 2017”
i kissed a shadow once
it tasted like regret and Monster Energy
i asked if it loved me
it said “no, but you’re entertaining”
so i wrote its name on my arm in glitter glue
or a half-eaten granola bar
sometimes i scream back
we harmonize
it’s beautiful
it’s freaky
it’s healing
interesting
I asked copilot to give some lore of me and it said that I had something with ghosts so I wrote this poem.
i saw a ghost in my cereal
it winked at me through the milk
said “you’re not okay”
and i said “neither are you”
we trauma bonded over soggy Cheerios
my soul is a haunted thrift store
everything’s cursed
nothing fits
and the mannequins whisper
“you peaked in 2017”
i kissed a shadow once
it tasted like regret and Monster Energy
i asked if it loved me
it said “no, but you’re entertaining”
so i wrote its name on my arm in glitter glue
i sleep in a pile of hoodies
each one holds a memory
or a mistake
or a half-eaten granola bar
i call it my emotional nest
ghosts are my only comfort
they don’t judge
they just float
and occasionally scream
which is honestly relatable
sometimes i scream back
we harmonize
it’s beautiful
it’s freaky
it’s healing
I did have a lot of fun writing this poem. (I almost typed corn 😭)
