.gif avatars drive me nuts!

It's annoying, so I got one. 

 Pay better attention to your movements on the board less on your opponent's profile pic and you will be fine.

Well I like my lonely little Pawn and I could also get along very well without this gif stuff ( & you kids stay off my lawn !!! )   lol.

Can set them to run normally, not animate or run once.

Chrome has a similar extension.

I don't know about the gif ability. I've changed my setting so they only run once

I guess I'm confused. Do you mean you changed a setting so it shouldn't move? You might have to force refresh.

I've been using Chrome on Windows 10 and my gif's been running since yesterday. In the past years the gif would stop running after a few minutes or once I reloaded my page. I think the're kind of annoying but I think I'm winning more live games this way?

Yes, chicky your right. In the past they eventually stopped. I have always loved  Gif avatars. They are fun.
