A little bit of trivia about SwordQuest: If you were to actually complete the task I dared you to do at the time of release, you could mail the phrase to Atari and they would fly you to Atari HQ where you would take place in a competition to win a $5,000 amulet. Unfortunately, the winner came upon financial troubles, and had to have it melted down. He still kept the sword from the amulet, though. The second prize for the sequel, FireWorld, was a chalice, also worth $5,000, and it is the only surviving prize, being locked up in a safety deposit box by its winner. A third game, WaterWorld, was released in limited quantities due to the Video Game Crash of 1983, and no competition was held. Winners were reimbursed for their troubles. The prize would have been a $5,000 crown. A fourth game was planned, but the series ended with WaterWorld. This game would have kept with the pattern and have been called AirWorld. The prize would have been a $5,000 Philosopher's Stone in a box made of gold and jewels. Finally, the winners would have been invited to a final competition, where the winner would win a $10,000 sword with a hilt of gold and jewels, hence the title SwordQuest. I think it's a shame the competitions never finished.
