XD probably.
I loved the early days of Rainy Forever. Just normalcy spiced up with time-space dimensional travel and a few villains to keep things interesting. Not nearly so wild as it is now.

In some ways.
We really need a slice-of-slightly-unusual-life forum that doesn't increase the stakes overmuch for people like me XD
Setting: Scorched Earth Timeline
Jargon limped through the desert landscape, sand and dust sinking under his military Rainy Empre issue boot. The wind carried bits of rock, and the air smelled of scorched flesh. In one hand lay his plasma rifle, the other clutched the burns he had acquired at the hands of Attica's bots. The planet had fallen in a matter of hours, the countless batteries, fortifications, garrisons, hadn't done s### to stop the millions that flooded forth and drowned them in their robotic bodies.
For all he knew, he was the last person left on this planet. Already they had begun to construct factories and mines. Jargon could see the advancing line of tech and metal, so close... Jargon snapped out of it. The wounds must be making him delirious or something. More reason to find a way off this world to find some sort of medical help. There was only one ship left, a Pila class fighter. It wasn't ideal, but it would get him the hell away from here, so that was a start.
And there, lo and behold in the distance was the aforementioned fighter. He had finally found it, and so had Attica. Already there were robots swarming all over it. Snarling, Jargon gripped the plasma rifle with both hands, aimed down the sights, and opened fire. Several hit the ground, but there were too many. Jargon ducked behind a rock and considered his options. More arrived each second, and trying to take them all out would be nigh impossible.
And so, Jargon made a break for it, lasers flying past his head, landing just after his footfalls, sand giving way to the steel of the landing pad. Lasers landed on his armor, shocks and burns scarring him, but the Pila fighter was all that mattered. Ignoring the pain, Jargon dived in, and closed the door, taking a split second to rest. Clamberin up again, Jargon climbed into the driver seat and finally took off, leaving the doomed planet, the bodies of his former platoon, and Attica behind.
He didn't notice the AA cannon pointed directly at the ship until it was too late.

Chip (Rainy Forever)
Chip is an interesting fellow. To start off, he’s an anthropomorphic axolotl. Second, hope is a power source for him, somehow. Third, the fact that this mildly stinky 20-something has saved the world with his friends about… what? Five times, give or take, but I can’t really remember.
Chip lives in a small home in Cleveland, Ohio. Since it’s right next to a lake, the eternal downpour really affected him and his pals.
Chip could be described as an ENFP-T, with mildly introverted tendencies at times. He’s warm and welcoming, and he likes to apply creative solutions to problems. He mostly follows heart and morality when making decisions, and is spontaneous in planning. He’s also a bit self-conscious and impatient, as well as easily frustrated.
However, you really don’t wanna screw with this guy or his friends. It will go very bad.
The Kit, the Fawn, and the Wolf
Once upon a time, in a faraway forest, lived a kit and a fawn. The kit lived safely in their warm and cozy burrow. One day, when they were about to go play on the forest, outside the burrow, they came across a fawn.
“Hi there”, the kit said with glee. “Lovely day, isn’t it?”
The fawn simply sighed. “It’s no lovely day”, they remarked. “I’ll go as far as to say that this entire forest is a hellhole of danger.”
“Oh, don’t be so pessimistic”, the kit replied. “It’s a beautiful day. The birds sing and the flowers bloom. The world is great.”
“Greatly dangerous”, the fawn groaned.
The kit kept trying to convince the fawn that the forest was wonderful, but in the end, they both gave up trying and went their own ways, the kit retreating to the burrow and the fawn prancing away.
In the forest, there lived a ferocious gray wolf who the inhabitants feared intensely. One day, when the kit went out to play in the woods as usual, only paying attention to the beautiful flowers and the sunlight, the wolf appeared and began to hunt them. The kit screamed in horror. The wolf got closer, closer, ever closer, until the kit fell into a cliff and lost their life. The wolf feasted on their flesh.
The same day, the fawn was prancing with their siblings as usual. They were having a heated argument.
“Ugh”, the fawn groaned. “The reason you two get into trouble so often is your ‘optimistic’ worldview. Truly naïve.”
“Come on, sibling”, said the fawn’s sister. “Surely, if you paid more attention to the beautiful things, your worldview would be a bit happier. I care about you.”
“What’s the point of that, ultimately?” said the fawn, and they pranced off into a clearing in the shadows, where the wolf lurked.
The wolf appeared, and immediately, the fawn took notice. However, they did nothing to save themselves, even though they could’ve easily bashed the wolf’s skull into the rocky walls and ended everyone’s suffering. The wolf feasted on their flesh.
A bird and an owl, perched on the trees, had been watching both scenes.
“Truly idiotic”, said the bird. “If that little kit had focused on the reality and on the danger of their surroundings, they could’ve lived.”
The owl nodded in agreement. “And if that selfish fawn had been a little less pessimistic, we would’ve been saved. All of us.”
Setting: Rainy Forever Lore For the Uninitiated
So, at the beginning of the universe, there was an almost, but not quite omnipotent being called the Verdant Eye, and a less but still very powerful being known today as the Heretic. There was also an object called the Box. Eventually, the Verdant Eye got bored of sitting around in the eternal void known as Oblivion and decided to create the World Tree (aka the multiverse but less impressive), and had the bright idea to put a barrier around it so that no other meddling gods of creation could interfere. The Box slipped through and landed on a random world, becoming buried by time.
This however, was in vain as the Heretic did interfere and added life, starting with Bob and then Harmie, Ato, and Jörmungandr. To combat this, the Verdant Eye created the Reaper, to eventually kill all life, and Limbo, to torture them afterlife for the crime of existing. The Heretic, to counter this, created the Sower to insure new life would be created, and Paradise. This conflict between them created the Evaluator, who stopped the afterlife from being an eternal war, and mellowing out the Sower and the Reaper. This infuriated the Verdant Eye, who shattered the Heretic across time and space of the World Tree, each fragment becoming a Chip. Life spread and grew across the World Tree, and the Verdant Eye could not stop it because of the barrier they themselves had put up between the World Tree and Oblivion.
Eventually countless eons would pass, giving rise to the Rainy Empire. Harmie and Jörmungandr started off with a very shouty angry hateful neighbor relationship, but both eventually made peace due to efforts from Ato. During this time, those who would be swayed by the words of the Verdant Eye would become Servitors, who served the Verdant Eye. After creating the Reaper, the Verdant Eye's influence inside the World Tree was greatly weakened, but after this time, they were able to send a rain to Earth, starting Rainy Forever. The Yuleman, a modified Servitor, and the Creature were deployed here somewhere in Arizona.
The rains caused Dead to go to Chip's house, along with others. From here, the Verdant Eye manipulated Dead, causing them to become much smarter, and much more sadistic, causing the creation of Attica. Dead's ultimate goal was to become a Servitor, not just any Servitor, but the leader of them, the number one agent of the Verdant Eye. Attica eventually spread to the World Tree, taking over world after world in their eternal conquest. From here, Dead would found the Dimension Hoppers to deliver packages of utmost importance and secrecy. Dead would also capture both Harmie and Jörmungandr, roboticizing and weaponizing Jörmungandr, while turning Harmie into a bloodthirsty beast (literally). Ato would escape to later join the Dimension Hoppers.
In just a few more months, during talks between the Rainy Empire and Attica regarding Attica's rampant authoritarianism and factorization of countless worlds, Dead would unleash the Crown, a weapon capable of destroying entire worlds on the capital planet of the Rainy Empire, killing billions instantly. The Crown was powered by a device delivered by the Dimension Hoppers, unwillingly. This kick-started the one-sided slaughter that was the Rainy Empire and Attica War.
Chip (somehow idk) found a way to travel the World Tree, and ended up killing Dead, destroying Attica and stopping the war. In the afterlife, before the Evaluator judged Dead, the Verdant Eye intervened, and Dead became the Arbiter, the leader of all Servitors. The Arbiter eventually found the Cosmic Linchpin, the point that controls the entire barrier between Oblivion and the World Tree, and destroyed it. This allowed the Verdant Eye to come through and absolutely decimate and burn down the World Tree in the matter of a week, deeming that life had dug itself in too deep into the World Tree to be simply removed, and that the most logical thing to do was to simply wipe the slate clean and start again.
The Verdant Eye had almost destroyed the entire World Tree before, eventually the Dimension Hoppers (who had found the Box prior) sealed them away. These three worlds were Earth, the world of the Druids, and a ruined world that was victim to one of Attica's invasions.
There was a shared sense of disbelief when it happened. How? How could it? It simply wasn't possible? But it was. And it had happened. After disbelief, a mix of anger and depression had followed. It couldn't be possible, it shouldn't be possible and yet here it was all the same. Some simply just sat their, mouth agape and head pounding with endless possibilities and what ifs and rabbit holes and a deep unescapable maw of despair that welled up and swallowed what little hope remained.
After the anger, there was a return to disbelief. Surely, surely they were just wrong the first time. Surely if they looked again, the real truth would be there and a grand sense of relief would follow. But it was still there, an unyielding monolith that spat in their faces and what they thought possible. After that, there was a feeling of numbness. Well, maybe things wouldn't change? Denial coursed through. Of course, of course, they were getting worked up over nothing.
They knew much better. Following the denial, and pushing it aside was absolute unrepentant despair. Hopelessness. Depression. Sadness. There was no coming back. It was over. They had lost, and nothing, nothing they could do could stop what was coming.

this somehow fits the missing RP situation perfectly
that what would basically happen if Dead wasn't an egotistical maniac with too many screws loose and to be healthy
