What is Elroch trying so hard to say? You have delivered truck loads of information but what is the point you are trying to make?

Your answer in less than 20 words......

K11Knights

he's not trying to make any point... he's just making lots of noise... reference to the phrase: empty vessels(his brain) make the most noise

K11Knights

ps i have done a two day conference on global warming and won the 1st prize... if anyone wants my research, lemme know

K11Knights

yes

K11Knights

can you prove that what i am saying is wrong

K11Knights

please explain sir/madam/third gender

K11Knights

sorry for that

There is no need to insult other people.

Back to the topic. Why isn't solar power used more? We have enough deserts where solar panels can be placed. Just imagine the huge amount of energy that those solar panels could produce.

Am I wrong or is the solution that easy?

K11Knights

solar panels only provide direct current electricity which cannot be used by most appliances

K11Knights

also the setting up cost of solar panels is high though the maintenance cost is low

K11Knights

also that china thing was just a joke... a like Trump yet i believe global warming is taking place

the problem with wind energy is that windmills need to be spread over a very large area and that too near the sea shore or on hill slopes where the wind speed is fast...the availability of such a large area makes usage of wind energy difficulty

@ ww what warming do I consider acceptable? maybe I should play the IPCC game. see where things are already heading and pitch targets accordingly.

A politicians response if ever I saw one. The reason you can't give a straight answer is because if you do then your whole argument falls apart,

If you give a high answer (say 5 degrees) it can be shown what that would entail in terms of consequences and how much we would need to spend to alleviate things. If you give a low answer (say 2 degrees) it becomes obvious we can only achieve that by cutting emissions and hence damaging the fossil fuel industry.

Here's my 20....

Burning fossil fuels releases Co2.

Co2 is warming the planet.

Warming the planet will cause us problems in the future.

This, and your other posts, demonstrate you do not have the faintest clue what you talking about.

LOL

Elroch

There is quite a lot of sea, as well as windy land!

Also, to bring K11Knights into the 20th century, "windmills" capture a small amount of wind energy rather inefficiently to grind corn. Wind turbines capture up to 12 MW each (latest, largest, offshore design) of wind energy highly efficiently, and convert it to electricity for the grid.

guys!!

I could give some acceptable temps if you wish but I'm struggling to see any point with your question?

I'm trying to ascertain at what temperature increase you would accept there would be harmful effects on societies.
