Good Classical Music Performances
You don't like Straus? . . .
Which Strauss? (Richard, Johann II, etc.)
I especially like Johann's waltzes, particularly his Blue Danube Waltz, which I expect to soon add to my list.
Edit: It's been added to my list!
The video in your Vivaldi - Four Seasons link seems unavailable. May I recommend this version instead? It's not on period instruments but it's a good version. Maybe my favorite recording of any music. But then, I still have a lot to learn about a lot of music.

@Gomer_Pyle -
Thanks for alerting me to the deleted YouTube performance. I have replaced it with another performance by Giuliano Carmignola who is one of the best baroque violinists (some think THE best) and Vivaldi interpreters.....the replacement performance is powerful - I hope you enjoy it!
By the way - you might want to consider the couple of book recommendations on classical music which I make at the top of my article (in the Notes section).
Vivaldi's Four Seasons is my favorite classical piece. I like listening to any version I stumble onto to see how it sounds. Your replacement version sounds nice. I may like the Deutsche Gramophon version better but only because I've heard it so many times it's burned into my brain. It's the recording I'd choose to have if I was stuck on that proverbial deserted island.

For those who enjoy listening to classical music or would like exposure to it, here are some of what I consider to be very good performances of some well-known compositions by the great composers...
