We should start a legend about your best thread being deleted. Say it had seven thousand comments and four-hundred thousand views, but became too controversial so the staff deleted it.
Good Threads & Bad Threads & Goofy Threads, etc

For example my thread on " Good Trolls and Bad Trolls too " has had 2,424 views but only 27 comments and another thread entitled " If you won the Lottery " had 5,037 views and only 46 comments. Very very few people have the time and/or interest to leave a post and of course without posts there are no forums.
The number of comments usually are about 1/100 of the number of views. That's why the forums are getting quiet.

I see that we now have a thread here that is entitled " Chess Sucks " ( yes at a Chess site, I kid you not ). Would we call that a good thread or a bad thread or perhaps even a goofy thread ?

We have had people here state that this site needs to get more new threads and thus needs to be brought back to life again. I've just checked the list of titles in the Hot Topic forum and I noticed that it only totals about 1 and 1/2 pages. At times we have had nearly 3 pages of titles in the past so I guess that things are a bit slow here ( Ok people let's get busy and start some more threads and do lots of posting, wakey wakey it's daylight in the swamp lol ).

One of the threads that I've started here is about Classical Music. I set that thread up a few years ago but it has never taken off and this is a real mystery to me. There does seem to be a decline of interest in the Classics among young people but what about middle-agers and beyond ? I would have bet money that a Chess site was a sure thing for that type of thread ( a bad guess or a bad thread ? lol ).

Well I have been on this site for several years now and have thus far started over 3 dozen threads. Now I will admit that not all of my threads were good ones but some were not that bad. There is the tread on Chess for Old-Timers, seemed to get a lot of posts in that one. Also a lot of people seem to enjoy my thread on Rock & Roll music as well. On the other hand my thread on Internet Addiction went down in flames. A recent thread on people getting nothing has not done well. Perhaps my thread on Geese was a bit goofy ( kinda funny tho lol ). Anyway as they say: Carry On McDuff ! ( more threads will follow ).
