GOOD Trolls and Bad Trolls Too ?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Quite some time ago I started a thread here with the term " Troll " in the title and a lot of people left some posts there. Were all of these people Trolls ? Well of course not, many people were just having fun and making jokes. That brings me to the reason for this thread: LIGHTEN UP People !!! Having a bit of FUN is not always Trolling. We are not busy solving all of the many  problems of the World here ( or even solving any problems ? ). If you are so serious that you think of many people here as being Trolls then think of them as Good Trolls that are funny and friendly who bring some much needed humour to this Planet ( as in the theory that Laughter is the best Medicine ).

One group that I did not mention in my OP here is the spammers. Some people just like to waltz thru the forums & threads and leave ramdon pictures that often seem to have no point to them. A few people get quite upset over this but then the person may have had a reason for posting the picture but we may not understand why ( a guessing game perhaps ? ).  

I totally agree! Sometimes trolls are what make the forums fun.

Thanks for the post Macer75, more humour is what this Planet is really needing ( a bit more sanity wouldn't hurt either ).

Well it is nice to see that there are no trolls at this site, just nice folks  lol. So let us now all sing together: " Happy days are here again ... "

I notice that there is a thread on the go here now about " Trolls, and types of Trolls ". That reminded me that I had started this thread on trolls to cover good trolls & bad trolls ( are there any other types ? ). 

Recently we seem to have a bad troll ( & serial spammer ) visit this site every night. He sets up a new phony name and then away he goes ( to sort of quote an old line " will nobody rid me of this awful spammer ? " ).

Oh for Pete's sake ! The happy spammer is back and he is early too ( it's only 7 PM Pacific ). Call 911 and get the Spam Police ! 

y'know what? If chess.com can't implement more reasonable solutions such as first posts have to be captcha'd or checked by a human or at least a computer, they should IP ban half of India until they can fix this problem - just like the good old days.

I'm pretty sure half of India wouldn't agree to that solution.

Well he is back and spamming like there is no tomorrow  lol. I think that is now every day of this week ( Call the FBI !!! ).

Okay he is a bit late today but we do have an important spam: Love problem solution ( lucky us  lol ).

Sometimes some of these sneaky spammers might be helpful after all ( eg: the love & marriage specialist ). If they just bought some regular advertising they could possibly drum up some business  lol.

Yet again an " evil " spammer has invaded the General Chess forum and taken over the 1st two pages ( Oh the humanity --- the humanity of it all  lol ).

An interesting question is who judges people so they might be called a troll ( a trolling panel perhaps ?  lol ).

So it would seem that in recent weeks ( & months ) we have had quite a bit of turnover here with members at this site. Who among those that left were good trolls and who were bad trolls ? ( or even who were trolls at all ? ). One could even ask: " For whom does the bell Troll, it Trolls for thee, it Trolls for thee ! ( sorry just couldn't resist  lol ).

The two trolls that left came right back after an emotional departure.
