Of course I care. I didn't hurt those people. I would have done everything I could to have protected them.Like I said somewhere earlier in one of these threads, I don't see a firearm problem. I see a problem with a society that produces people with so little regard for human life. To me, eliminating firearms is just a band-aid that does nothing to solve the problem of a deteriorating society.
GUNS
@Gomer
It’s certainly not I’m against any soldier, who’s motives and intentions are to protect their land and people, it’s the sad absurdity that placed them in such beyond unfair or sensible situations due to yoyos in command having to claim their pp is larger than some country’s ego commando yoyo’s greedy mongering ego monsters.
Damb, wouldn’t your thumb hurt though?
Why would my thumb hurt?
Not even sore?
Are you this weak? For real? You should be ashamed of yourself.
How many ppl died from being shot by that thing? NOBODY died from being shot by that thing. NOBODY. It’s a civilian model. WTF are you on about?
Can you picture this dude out to eat at a steak house and he picks up his knife and suddenly BURSTS INTO TEARS like a weakling millennial thinking about all the POOR LIVES LOST to knife violence before guns EVER EVEN EXISTED…..
My god the weakness turns my stomach.
...and a lot of fun to shoot. It holds ten rounds to the M1s eight. It's magazine is easily topped off after some rounds have been fired whereas the M1s is more difficult. It's recoil operated instead of gas operated like the M1. It's barrel must move during recoil to unlock the bolt. That and a couple easily lost small parts during disassembly were two of its drawbacks. I think what really cinched the contract for the M1 was the fact that the manufacturers were already tooled up to produce the M1 when the competition was held.
It's recoil operation cycles a little faster than the M1 gas operation cycle so it comes back on target faster. Yes, I also have an M1 Garand from 1956. At one time I had every standard issue infantry rifle from 1888 to the Garand. Right now I'm only short by an M1 carbine that I sold to help work up a mortgage.

From what?
Cool guy and very knowledgeable
I misread your post and thought you were talking about firearms in general. I don't think the Johnson saw combat. I doubt any of my military collection has seen combat. They in too good a shape. In any case, whether they ever killed anyone or not, they certainly aren't likely to while I own them. I am not a violent person. It's possible I could become violent in defence of myself or others but never on my own.

Yeah, I know about the arsenal thing. I'm one of those people that would get arrested for traffic tickets and the papers would scream about my arsenal. And I don't consider any of them weapons. Some were weapons, or at least intended to be weapons, but I own them now so they are safe. The rest are hunting guns, which I don't do much anymore anyway.
Unfortunately I live in the communist kingdom of New York where the constitution is spit on and it’s impossible to carry.
Only criminals have guns here.
So who has a concealed carry and why do you? I had a good conversation with my oldest the other day about this and am now wondering what any of your opinions are and or reasons.
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOO
I had a concealed carry permit when I lived in PA. I rarely carried, mostly because my only defensive handgun is a full size Sig-Sauer P220. That's a larger gun than I would like to carry. I disagree with NY handgun laws so my handguns stayed in a secure location in PA when I moved here. I've never been much of a handgun person anyway. Rifles of all shapes and sizes are my passion.
