That's all I ask...
GUNS
I don't know enough about it to offer sensible solutions. I just know that the US has more guns and more gun deaths than other countries. That combined with my opinion that guns have nearly no practical value.
At LEAST 100,000 and possibly much much more.

Nap.edu is not Fox News. “The National Academies Press (NAP) publishes the reports of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. The NAP publishes more than 200 books a year on a wide range of topics in science, engineering, and medicine, providing authoritative, independently-researched information on important matters in science and health policy.”
If that is true and more than 100,000 people use guns in self defense legally why in the world would you say they have no practical value?
llama,..... your talking to a boy using a TRUMP avatar......nuff said.
He's insulted how many people in this thread? Nobody knows what the're talking about, but HE knows about everything....even over 200 yrs ago when the Constitution was written. Lets not forget about all the experience he's had with tyranical governments too. He's a professional troll who's only purpose here is to sow the flames of chaos, arguments, & dis-order. He claims he hasn't been vaccinated, but....."associates with being" vaccinated, so you were correct in post 1003.....there's some mental issues going on there.
Like battleaxes and bows, bills and blades, spears and swords, and willow sticks and whittling knives?
Like battleaxes and bows, bills and blades, spears and swords, and willow sticks and whittling knives?
No. Like matchlocks and flintlocks, about the only firearms available in 1789 when the Bill of Rights was drafted.
And shortly after things like Gatling guns were also available. A fully auto machine gun. Perfectly legal back then.
It’s almost as if by define arms by what was available back then(at first) is like assuming free speech only applied to how far you could throw your voice.
But that would be ridiculous.
Bro, they lived 250 years ago. Transportation was by horse. No indoor plumbing. No medicine that didn't involve opium or leeches. Food was whatever you grew out of the ground. No one could have imagined how technology would explosively grow.
The latest year for complete data we have a total of 11,004 deaths from handguns
We have 374 for rifles of ALL types
By comparison knives kill 1,589

So around 30 times the amount if ppl are killed by handguns than ALL rifles combined.
So if you are concerned about the scary AR15 you are thinking emotionally and not with facts abs data.
You know…revolver…one trigger pull one shot. Just like an AR15.
Of course only the revolver is FAR more powerful.
I think we all agree “arms” does not include ordinance so explosives are a no go. Fully automatic weaponry is also banned pretty much everywhere without special circumstances.
One trigger pull one bullet seems to be the standard.
