Happy Pride

Guess I got there too early at 8pm+. No activity.

Spoke to the local handsome young guy (I assumed) (always homme back profile photo) who spoke the best English I'd heard so far here but he was understandably more interested in getting me to buy a drink.

Living in a reasonable inclusive place (society wise and only recently law wise), I get annoyed by all this "pride" activity since to me the fight was mostly over but then this afternoon I saw this just near the subway station nearest to me (itaewon)

I told that lady preaching on the mic that she should keep her sermons to the church but she didn't understand English and just replied "Jesus Christ". Well, that was me told. Who could argue against that? Nobody else said anything. Anyway didn't want to stir up trouble in a foreign land when I have kids to take care of.

Apparently this area houses minorities like Muslims and blacks (saw a few, was surprised and some to them as well, all friendly folks) as well as a meeting point for LGBT folks (didn't see them yet).

Apparently most of the activity happens after 1am so I'm going to miss it.

I've seen people like this a few times... not preaching on this topic, but with a microphone and speaker yelling about Jesus. I've never gone up to them and told them to shutup though tongue.png

A family man talking to handsome young men offering drinks tsk tsk grin.png

But yeah, that's neat. Asian guys never appear to age... stay good looing forever... some 60 year old guy but he looks 25 😅 I don't live in South Korea... apparently very few people speak English (based on what you're saying) so I probably wouldn't be able to get around too well (and I'm not a 2 meter 150kg American, so I wouldn't stand out much).

Happy month of June!

Speaking of which, I wonder how long it will take--and how much conflict it will create-- when the Pride people and the "Juneteenth" people realize that they picked the *same month* as their designated special celebratory month...faceoff, maybe?? Pride vs. Juneteenth, winner takes all (June), lol...

Used 5 sausages from the fridge. The life of a lone rice cake parent. It's hard.
