Hard Riddle

This is a fun but hard riddle.
Three men are traveling the Amazon and are captured by natives. They want to see if they are smart so they show them two white hats and three black hats and make the guess which one is on top of their head. The two hats not used are hidden. They are arranged by height and an only see the people in front of them hats. The guy in the back says “I don’t know what color I’m wearing. He gets thrown in the cooking pot. The guy in the middle says “I don’t know what color I’m wearing.” He get thrown in the pot. The guy in the front says “I know what color I’m wearing. He gets it right and walks away free. How does he do it and what color is he wearing? Try to solve it and please don’t spam guesses.
