HELLO

Saw this guy on the street carrying a big huge Spoon.
'why are you carrying that spoon?'
Reply: 'Going to see a movie. I hear its very Stirring'.'
Thought you were going to say its a Cereal.

The Corvair baby nook made sense in the pre-baby seat, pre-seat belt world of 1960. Back then, the mother used to carry the baby in her arms while sitting in the front seat. You ever see the slo-mo films of crash test dummies from back then? The baby was like an air-bag (meat bag?) between mom and the dashboard, which would dash the baby to pieces.

I thought the plural of dwarf was dwarfs?!
Maybe you can use either spelling.
Lets see - a quick 'dwarf' joke ... something 'dwarfed' by something else ...
there's something called a 'red dwarf' in astronomy ...
the sun will become a red dwarf and swallow the earth
before people stop eating at .... Arby's.
Yes it needs work.

Wasn't it Nader who exposed Corvair cars?
I wonder if he's still alive.
Yes! He must be over 90 years old!

Yes, it was....Ralph Nader. He went after some other companies to.
I remember my dad complaining about having to have seat belts in new cars. It would make them more expensive.
See my comment above for what to expect with a baby in a non seat belt equipped car.

My dad was the same way because their generation never had seat belts. I think Nader's big case was with the "Pinto".....if memory serves me.

It was the Corvair: Unsafe at any Speed!
The Pinto was dangerous, though, with the danger of exploding gas tanks if rear ended. This mainly came out during the discovery phase of a number of lawsuits for deaths & disfigurement by fire, if I recall back to high school days. There was also a 60 Minutes episode on it, due to the trials. Ford did a cost/benefit study that showed that the cost of fixing it wasn't worth the anticipated losses from lawsuits.

Yes. Nader exposed the Nadir of automobiles.
But other things about Nader? Not so good.
Can't talk about it here though.
