ron, i never saw that covid topic. for transparency, i had started one after a couple were closed down and it fizzled. no biggie. i think most topics, no matter their relevance, might die out after just a few days. that's cc.
however, after clicking on your link the final post is telling:

If you would like to discuss anything covid related please do so in the moderated forum
that means that some topics are unmoderated, which is bulls**t. cc seems to have a revolving door of mods now. hmm, maybe a topic about that in an unmoderated forum? whaddya think, sushima?

all i did was go back to a lincoln quote and show how the word 'narrative' is overused. people seem to think that it makes them appear bright. today, it shows you have a limited vocabulary.
to the extent that some words are overused, or, used incorrectly, i would add 'literally' and 'actually'. the next time you hear someone use the word 'actually' in a sentence, replay what they said and eliminate that word. i think you'll find there is no contextual difference.
example: "well, actually, i used to work the register at the 7-11. then, a guy literally told me about a job at starbucks".
