I am, so bump it now. Actually, wait until we're all at the really sad part in Act 2 and bump it then. If you like that idea, tell me and I will DM you then.
Help me write a fantasy novel - Interactive roleplay book

Okey
Tell me any role you might prefer, and I will send you a character profile. If you don't like it, pick another character and repeat.

Which? Ulrich (more freedom, he's underdeveloped) or Vasileios (old guy, but more powerful, you'd have to wait until Act 2 to play him) Or both? Also, I ask you to please use proper grammar and a slight Irish accent when writing in role voice. Write as yourself chatting, but when playing villain, write as an evil medieval Irishman. What do you think?

OK. He is only a first act character, so you can do what you want with him until the act is over and he's defeated. Welcome, Ulrich!

After the first act you can stick around and do random extra bad guys like Robber or Enemy Soldier if you want. I may bring Ulrich back as Vasileios's henchman too, if enough people want it.

Anywhere. How about next time I start a robber scene? I'll tell you when I do, and then you come say some random line as a robber. Or you could just say that you walk past a character and greet them.

Well, if you want a random role, that's what you get. Your role is Dragon. Whenever there are unnamed dragons around, you're one of them. OK, or would you like to read a character profile?

Anyone else? Anyone?
I think I'm still keeping a grip on Rawiya... I'd only let Cleo do her, if anyone.

It was a dark and stormy knight. Earvin the old dragon was in his house, waiting for the rain to stop so that he could go to the grocery store. It didn't stop so he stayed home and went to sleep. When he woke up the next morning, the sun was out for the storm had passed. Then, suddenly there was a knock rap rap rapping at his door. He answered the door to see a man in a nice suit and tie, his name was Andreina. Andreina is a divorce lawyer and he was there to serve Earvin divorce papers. The end.
Mudd, I haven't even started this yet... And you took the queen's name and made her a male divorce lawyer. You're crazy. If you want Earvin you can play him, though.
Hello! I am an author who needs to work on character development and voice. I have a list of characters, which I will post here. If you would like one of them and a main part, submit your preference to me to get a backstory and character profile. If you like the role, I will give you your parts. If you don't, ask for a different role. You may also take as many of these single appearance characters as you like: Robber, Soldier, Advisor, Blacksmith, Prisoner, Farmer, Bard, Band Member, Dragon, Traveling Stranger, Villager, Courtier, Child, or Family Member. For the first act I am open to plot suggestions, the next two acts will be set in stone.

Don't start roleplaying here until all characters are filled. @RevenantTheCleansed, if you want a king role, just say so. Antagonist or not. Your choice.
When all first act roles are filled, I will post a starter prompt. If you want a role but don't know which one, just say, I'm in, and I will give you something to do.

DISCLAIMER: For the MCs this will get a bit cringy, with weddings happening throughout, at the end of the first and third acts. I will write those out, so you don't have to. In the second act there will be war and an execution, and a lot of crying kids. Just so you know what you're getting in to. This is a story spanning roughly 25-30 years, with much of it cut to make it doable.
All helpers will be credited if I publish the book. (Under your chess usernames).

RULES for all posters:
A lot of us players will be supplying mood setting music, so no rickrolling during the gloomy bits. There will be jokey bits where that won't get you muted, but if you ruin a tearful goodbye or a child crying for his or her father, I will mute you for 24 hours and double it each time.
Bumping the forum is allowed and even welcomed. @KingC9RN is the official bumper.
If you must chat during a scene, take it to the peanut gallery.
No swearing, no slang while in character, no changing the plot. All the character players know their lines and cues and distracting them will cause trouble. Swearing is a 24-hour mute, doubling each time.
