It's fun, I enjoy helping others and generally everyone I do help are very thankful. I do it for a little while some days, generally while I read or study chess.

Giving up one's spare time and money to become a heavy drinker and smoker seems a little odd also.

I politely asked one of the "trained one's, Foreverholdurpiece this question, purely out of curiosity.
Giving up one's spare time for no reward monies etc seems a little odd.
Please feel free to suggest why, I would like to know.
