My wife and I are very upset, at the death of Her Majesty. No apologies for that. She was a stabilising influence for the World and more or less created the Commonwealth by herself.

Thankyou, Queen Elizabeth The Great.

Long Live His Majesty King Charles III, I suppose. His mother will be an impossible act to follow. Best of luck!!

Rest in peace.

I am also very upset. It feels like we are really being tested in the UK at the moment, with many terrible things happening at once.

We watched the Netflix series "The Crown" and learned all about her and British history. It was fascinating and we came away with a deep sense of admiration for her and a lot more understanding of several Prime Ministers.  I would highly recommend the series and hope that it was a reasonably accurate portrayal.
It made me feel closer to the UK than I ever had.

I too mourn her death, but am grateful that she lived a long life and contributed so much.

May she rest in peace. My sympathies to the Brits. Queen Elizabeth seemed a very likable lady, a role model, and an inspiration for so many. She will be remembered with tenderness for many generations to come.

Indeed! And I think it would be a mistake to hold anyone else to her standard.

It was good. Some licence, of course. Also some strange perspective, especially concerning Diana.

There have been times when some of us felt that Her Late Majesty was slow to adapt when she might have been more understanding of the feelings of those with a different perspective. Overall, though, there is a very deep sense of loss and sorrow, combined with admiration and thankfulness.

Thankyou and you're right.

Was talking to my brother earlier in the week about how she didn't look right, but put it down to age. With hindsight, she was a public servant right up until her death.

Quite shocked and impressed.

She was the matriarch of a dysfunctional family. The shenanigans of her offspring brought shame on our nation.. Let them eat cake was her mantra.🤮🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

What on earth are you on about this time?

Have you been drinking?

I don’t know much about her, but Rest In Peace to the queen who worked so hard to serve her country and the memes about her “immortality”.
