Rating Scale (Elo)

Rapid Rating:

2500+: Congrats, you are a chess engine

2200-2499: You literally have a machine inside your head

2000-2199: Chess is your life. You are chess, and chess is you

1800-1999: Very dangerous player

1600-1799: Quite strong player. Still occasionally loses to an 8 year old

1400-1599: Decent, must have played for a while

1200-1399: Average

1000-1199: You can win against the average 12 year old

800-999: Experienced newbie

600-799: Newbie

400-599: Have you ever heard of checkers?

100-399: It looks like chess really isn’t your thing. How about we go out and get some Chinese food instead?

Also it’s not a good idea, to make sarcastic remarks with regards about people with lower ratings than yourself. Remember that you were also once a rookie .
