So in geoguessr, I find it difficult to tell the difference between countries like ukraine, belarus, estonia, latvia on geoguessr. It’s tricky because they speak a very similar language, almost the same to a foreigner, and they have similar roads. But I’m often scared of guessing somewhere in russia because if it’s not in russia, it’s going to be very far away since all russian cities and roads are deep into the russian land. Do you have any way to guarentee I’m in russia and not neighbouring countries?

Yes. Eastern Russia you'll see a lot of old styled, colorful, and detailed buildings. If it's run-down, it's either Western Russia or the listed countries which in that case I would guess one of those countries because Western Russia doesn't have a lot of coverage

Russia is very distinct. The main thing is the lisence plates. Russia is not part of the EU, so it's plates will not have a blue strip on the left side of the plate like those others. Belarus you will almost never get in geoguessr, because all of its coverage is trekker, meaning it was taken by a volunteer worker instead of an official Google car. This makes it very easy and obvious to spot. Ukraine tends to be a red car on very poor quality roads, but don't fully bank on that, look for general language things (Ukrainian has the letter 'i' which Russian does not) and also the occasional blue yellow stripe painting on walls and fences, etc. Estonia street names end in Tee while Latvian ones end in "iela" and Lithuania has a unique letter e with a dot above it that is unique to the Lithuanian language.

That's the basics of it.

Also about Russia guessing, it is indeed hard, and there's no real easy path to being good at guessing in Russia. I recommend downloading the learnable meta extension and practicing on the map called "a learnable Russia" until you start to remember the various regions. Russia is vast and often very hard, the key things that are probably most helpful for region guessing are knowing the different vegetation that grows in different areas, and the soil quality/color on the roads.
