I most like to use the yyyymmdd format as in 20240907. This format is easily sorted and searched by programs. When I have to deal with Americans I use mm/dd/yyyy like 9/7/2024. When I have to deal with Europeans I use yyyy/mm/dd like 2024-09-07. Overall, I prefer either the computer or European format. It doesn't make sense to me to stick the day between the month and year. That's out of order. It should either be year-month-day or day-month-year, not month-day-year.

I wasn't kidding. I managed computers for an American subsidiary of a European company. I had to use all those formats and more in my job.

I usually write it like this.

“The date.” I could over complicate everything, but I find that this method is best.
