Bland conversations may be the result of the fact that you are talking to some random person through chess.com.
just bcs they are a random person on a chess website doesn't mean the convo will be bland.

It's not an absolute, but I can imagine it would increase the chances.

and then find out they're just a random creep that wants u to send nudes.
one of the things I hate the most abt it is that they don't rlly set a clear goal in the convo.
like u, (the person being talked to from those ppl. or robots.) basically cant tell how long the convo will last and WTH THIS PERSON IS so ur just saying hihihhruhfinewhby????? and the chat just gets buried overtime by other chats (including other hihihi ones) XD TvT and ur dms are filled with garbage chats from months ago.
making it harder for u to get to the chats u want to keep.
ANNNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD I don't usually delete my chats unless they're garbage ones and I'm just sure enough that they won't talk rlly again and/or I'll just risk it.
Mehhhh, it is what it is, I guess. I guess it would just be nice to know the goal of the conversation after the "Hello, how are you"s.
But, I always make sure I do my part in being polite and doing my best to keep the conversation alive. But after a while, I get the idea that they're bland and don't want to talk to me, or something.
I probably have never stopped replying unless they get blocked bcs they're players.
and usually they dont rlly move on from the hihi stuff.
just repeat it like a month or two later.
starting to think they're npc's.
The people I've been conversing with do it every few hours. As soon as I woke up and logged on, I got a "Hi" message!

strange. what's their profile(s) like?
If there's ever anyone I don't want to talk to anymore, I simply always end the text in "Nice talking to you". It makes them way less likely to re-dm.

This could be smart. But once they add bland response like "good" or "nothing much", it doesn't seem right to say, "nice talking to you". I feel like they will get the idea a lot better if you just ignore them.

A lot of dating clubs, actually. Well, I think we figured it out.

Not just chess.com. This happens everywhere.
