How good is chess.com's music taste?

this is what you'd expect from early to mid 1900s music. this isn't a criticism, back then they didn't have the technology we do now to open up a computer with garageband or something and just start popping off with the instrumentals, so they didn't have many options beside what they already knew worked. because of this, there's nothing i can really say about it that i can't say about anything from any other artist from the time period's discography. i'd give this a 6
so medic emailed (not pmed or messaged, emailed) me another song being Little Tigers - Love (ai爱). as the name implies, all the lyrics are in chinese, and the only 6 languages i speak are english, american, canadian, british, australian, and rizz, so i can't really judge the lyrics. the instrumentals consist of a simple guitar and "ooh, oo-oo ooh, oo-oo oh" vocal. by the end of the song it gets old, but thankfully it only starts getting old right when it's about to end. the singing is good, but the lyrics were all chinese to me. i wonder why? this feels like a sitcom intro extended to 4 minutes 23 seconds, which is neither good nor bad. definitely poppy by western standards, don't know about overseas, but not so overtly poppy to be annoying/degrading of the quality or so poppy i have to sit and wonder if ajr secretly featured on or produced the track, which i feel like i have to do with a lot of song that make it to the radio such as all about that bass by meghan trainor or radioactive by imagine dragons. all in all a 5
this one is about nostalgia from school like sorta

the 1st song has interesting lyrical themes that i haven't quite seen explored. of course i've seen themes relating to children before such as anything from ajr (some of the worst stuff you'll ever hear, no really i've felt physical pain from their stuff), but not school. this definitely gives off early-mid 80s vibes, but given the quality of the music video, that's probably when it was made. the instrumentals are pretty repetitive, the singing is good, and there's not much to say about it outside of that. 5
the 2nd song takes a more country approach to what i'm assuming is the same artist's work. the instrumentals don't change much but they hold out for the entire song instead of getting annoying somewhere near the end like the 1st song. the singing is once again good, and the chorus definitely shows an improvement of the artist's work if the 2nd song was made after the 1st song. can't really judge the lyrics because, again, chinese. i'd say 6

The band Weezer, either Green Album or Blue Album I guess (very creative album names I know). Blue Album is their most popular album if that helps your decision
Not trying to sound impatient, just trying to make sure you didn't forget mine

i didn't, albums are much longer than songs (go figure) so i generally have more time to review songs. that's why the only 2 albums i reviewed are albums i already listened to before making the forum
