One outfit that I want to mention here is the Rubschlager Bakery of Chicago ( established  way back in 1913 ). They produce some good bread including a very nice Bavarian Rye which costs nearly $ 5 dollars up here ( about $4 dollars US ).

---   And I nearly forgot to mention another good item from good old Rubschlager, specifically their " Marble Rye ". They make it like the Marble Cakes where they mix light and dark coloured dough together and create those cute multi-coloured swirls. It really looks quite different but it tastes good tho.
