I don't know HTML, XHTML, or XML all that much; but from what I do know, there is no tag called <deleted>.

If you are somehow talking about cracking, yeah, there is no was that <deleted> could be the sorce code for ANYTHING. Perhaps if you started a tag as the username, and ended it with your password it would mess up the database. That would be if the website was extreamly basic, no encription, no salt, not even turning the text to hex, and the database is stored in a HTML/txt document (most websites use PHP).
Try if you want, but I don't think it would do anything; chess.com seems to have a decent security, nothing that could keep a real cracker out but it keeps the scipt kiddies at bay. You can tell it's not the best security simply by just checking out the Privacy Policy page at the bottom (it basicaly says, "we can't garunty your security, but we will try!"), it even says that sending your personal info could just be a phishing scheme (it's not though).

Yeah I know all this, weird huh?

Note: I am NOT saying that you should try any of that stuff. You should just know that no website is secure, just more secure than others; and chess.com is not exactly "top notch" in terms of web security.
