points are earned by using the site. The more messages you send and recieve to/from other members, the more points you get...they are meaningless so dont worry about them !
How to earn points in Chess.com?
You get 1 point everytime you post a comment, create a new forum thread, etc. For example, I just earned 1 point for posting this comment.

Yeah where's the t-shirts?!

I am not getting how can I make my points level higher in chess.com.
I'd like to answer your question, but I see that you have just 7 points so I won't bother.

You get points for posting on anything public, like articles, blogs, threads, etc, or by posting a note on someone's wall. You do not get points for private messages.

Don't you also get points when you win tournaments?
I think tournament points are seperate from the points you see on your wall. It's all very confusing.
I need help with this as well. I never knew about the point thing if you publish things in public but i came fourth in a chess tournament aren't I ment to get a point ? Because i didn't.

Its more complicated than that. If you post on a Mon, Wed, or Fri, and double down, you'll get 2 points for every post. If you live west of the Mississippi, subtract a point. If its raining when you post add 3 points. If your a black man, add 2 more. If its on the weekend during Feb, forget it, 0 points. WHY? The points store isn't OPEN in Feb.

I sell my points to Paco down the street, he's a local drug dealer. He sells them for food stamps to feed his family. Now, I said I sell mine. He gives me money. I use that money to put gas in my car. Then I can go cash in my empty cans. With the can money, I get my drums out of the pawn shop. Then I play a gig, to get enough money, to renew my membership here, where I get more points, to sell to Paco, etc, etc. Everybody wins! The musicians, the pawn shop owners, the drug dealers and addicts, the gas stations, the can redemption center, the children are fed, the food stamp people, and Chess.com THANKS ERIC.
