I have a question.

Is chess.com so afraid that they turned off comments on their post about Russia/Ukraine war. Do they not care about what other people think. Also making Russian flag a solid dark blue isn't doing anything.

i think post about the war will raise arguments so it should be turned off

but yeah, changing russian flag doesn't make sense

So the fact that there may be a lot of people against removing the Russian flag they don't care?

If you were actually listening for an answer, you might not have had to ask it so many times

Are you really so afraid that you didn't post this somewhere else?

No, you're not afraid. You didn't post it anywhere else because it's not relevant to anywhere else, just like how chess.com didn't allow comments because it's not relevant to chess.com. This website's users want to hear chess.com opinion on the war in Ukraine, not yours. Sorry, but there's not one person on earth who wants to see a couple of uneducated teenage chess players have an internet argument over international affairs.

But a bunch of chess players understand internal affairs??

Removing the russian flag.... they do that and ban political discussions? It's not the fault of the players in russia.. blame their president if you want to blame someone. The citizens didn't ask for it.

I don't like this new rule cc made either, I had a good bughouse partner in bughouse, and he was horrified of Russia declaring war on Ukraine.

The blanked Russian flag is messed up
Chess.com has no idea what they’re doing
They always think they’re heroes

They make it seem like all Russians are terrible people. The flag should be changed. As far as discussing the war, it’s not political it’s just a fact that Ukraine and Russia are in a war.

Not if you ask a Russian. Then it’s a “special military operation.”

Again. perhaps some of the citizens support the war, but not all. stop attacking the people.

It's like somebody punching you and you blaming the hand.

Avatar of wutmidoin
Not saying they all support the war. Their government is restricting the media they consume.

"A russian" doesn't mean "some russians", you're implying all russians are same.

Your statements contradict

If I wasn’t clear enough for your liking, I apologize. But I stand by the fact the Russian government is restricting access to information so you may or may not get an informed opinion from a Russian citizen.
