I Like Freedom Of Choice !!!

For some reason people here and elsewhere like to ask stupid questions ( eg: why aren't you a vegan, why do you own a domestic vehicle or why do you drive an import ? etc etc ). I do wonder why people ask such stupid questions when the answer is very simple, I like to make up my own mind and I like to have the freedom of choice. Furthermore I do not need to have people sticking their nose into my business ( not very complicated, right ? ).

So I can just go and wack some random person in the head with a mace and people don't have the right to question that obvious immoral behavior?

As you hopefully can see you don't have the right to do whatever you want and use the freedom card as an excuse. Your right to do whatever you want doesn't apply if you are violating other beings freedom.

---   So do you even bother to read your own posts before you send them off or do you just like to write any old thing not caring if your posts make any sense at all ? Your flag shows you as being in Norway and I assume that attacking anyone there is against the law as it is in most countries. Please do try to think a bit before sending out a bunch of nonsense  rofl.

AlCzervik

quite a fail on the "morality based" argument, there, magnuts. it's not even an argument.

you are claiming another is a fool when you are comparing choosing to be a vegan with whacking someone in the head.

why don't you pull your head out of your arse and look in the mirror.

That isn't what we are arguing about. It's about not forcefully violating other beings freedom, so if you support the animal agriculture industry by buying their products, people are going to call out the immoral behavior, and you have no right to complain about it since you are on the wrong side of morality.

Look at what happens to an eco system when predators are out of the equation. Predators are needed to keep the eco systems in proper balance. Humans are predators in an eco system. Even agriculture based animals need to be in balanced as well. If you have over population in the animal kingdom. It is actually more inhumane than killing them for food and other uses.

An interesting question is can agricultural animals become predators ? The other week I heard a story where a lady in Texas was attacked and killed by a 300 pound wild hog, very scary !

I think those wild hogs are a different brand of bacon, not the kind you want near your breakfast table.

@badenwurtca. Why are you telling this to us? Tell this to the person who asks you “why [you] aren’t a vegan?” I’m sure you’ve met people like this in real life, so speak up to them (assuming you aren’t already doing so)!

@CarlsensMagnets This is the way life is. No need to think that it is immoral to eat meat. I do object to cruel treatment of animals and over hunting and killing of animals. However as long as the hunting and killing of animals is in balance. This is good for everyone including animals. If animals get over populated. It does more harm than good to animals. If you can't deal with this. I am afraid it is a problem of your own making.

We have clearly a choice. You are trying to justify immoral behavior just because there is cruelty in this world, so you are contributing to the thing you claim to be hopelessly lost.

"No need to think that it is immoral to eat meat."

That's not your right to decide. The oppressor can't say that it's okay to oppress because the oppressor don't suffer the consequences of his own immoral actions.

"I do object to cruel treatment"

But only when it's convenient for you of course.

"However as long as the hunting and killing of animals is in balance. This is good for everyone including animals." "If animals get over populated. It does more harm than good to animals."

We are talking about two different things, you are trying to justify killing animals across the board by trying to make it sound like everybody is still a hunter and gatherer which is absurd and dishonest. And if you want balance, it's obvious that humans are the ones messing with it, so what do you do then?

---   I'm at a bit of a loss as to what CarlsensM is trying to do with his posts in this thread. I think we can assume that he is a Vegan but that is not the point as he is of course free to choose. I used Vegan in my first post as on example only. We are discussing freedom of choice here not what people have on their menu ( I hope that point is simple enough ).

What? no menus??
