I personally do not get how some people are more proud on their country than on some of their individual sportlegends. all those "most medals earned by country- leaderboards" are supporting that way of thinking and I think the sportlegends deserve more credits/attention. I like the olympics and I respect every opinion but I don't really like when they comment stuff as "this country has now won their second medal!" after a great individual achievement from a sportlegend. to me that sounds like they are just being used just to earn medals for their country. instead the sportlegends should get more individual credits and the whole "which country is the best at sports- obsession" is just a meaningless noise

Some of the contestants have had to drop out , because of the corona situation, which in my view makes holding the Olympics in the first place completely shambolic .

In the end, the Medal tally is the only thing that matters, and we seem to continue to hold our superior position over those Poms.
