You don't know that it won't happen,and since reasonable preparation costs me nothing,it seems prudent to be prepared. Your blind faith in the absence of a beneavolent God,proves that faith is in your tool kit. You're half way home;now turn towards the light.

Belief is based on trust,without evidence. Why would you believe God has to prove anything to you? You are only a creature who has to prove your worth to your master,not the other way round.
The beauty is God is gracious, He understand we need some prove and God provide it graciously, His creation is evidences. Only fools overlook this and try to explain the existence of universe, earth and everything that is created it just came about without a creator. Like I say there is no cure for stupidity.
