Exactly!

These kids need to either quit posting this garbage, or go back to chesskid.

Steven-ODonoghue

If we had some moderators who were willing to enforce the posting rules and remove the pointless crap from all the kids, then there might be some room for adult (or at least mature) posters here.

It seems like all the adults on the forum are busy arguing about whether or not chess is a draw with best play and whether or not chess is a sport.

I do occasionally consider posting a legitimate chess related question every now and then... but I know that in the first 10mins there will be a dozen kids with low-effort 1 word posts flooding the thread but contributing nothing, so I always decided against it. I pretty much only post here when I'm in the mood for just messing around. It's sad that these forums have to be like that, but based on the posts from long term members I guess I can only expect it to get worse? Chess.com would rather focus their attention towards increasing the variety of their animated emojis and other pointless gimmicks targeted at children

Yeah, chess.com has slowly incorporated stupid bs to make it appeal to the younger audience. Such things as trophies, awards, etc.

The forums on here used to be pretty enjoyable and somewhat interesting. We've been going downhill for several years now.

Edit: The dude who said "ok boomer" right after your comment just encapsulates this perfectly.

Totally agree. I reported that

There should be a rule for age verification, where we have to give our ages to chess.com so it can direct the kids (or under-14s) to chesskid and leave the (at least) mature people in peace without that kind of spoiling and ruining the community. sure, i'm young, but still mature. those guys... not sure...

Huh... I'm used to it XD

Like if you've been texting you friends since grade one in primary school and you've been doing it until now... just imagine!

Although I never say anything about sex, so don't accuse me if it occurs you any inconvenience.

Yeah, it's too bad so many of them waste their time in those topics.

Wait... that means I dislike almost everyone... what a grumpy llama.

Well, let's focus on the positive. There are a few people I like here.
