I feel that there was more chess stuff posted when I joined up, a little less than 2 years ago. But even then there were a lot more spam than it should.
I actually created a topic addressing this a year ago:

I feel that in the last few months the situation is even worse than before.
When you get this sort of crap being posted “ If you had a chance would you marry me ? “ ……..if that doesn’t bring tears in your eyes, nothing else will 🤷♂️………Woolly’s already started to pack his bags 🙀

One thing if it would only be threads in off-topic subforum, easy to ignore. But kids, and people without any forum netiquette, start to spam other threads with inane posts:
- "Omg, people are arguing, why are you arguing, plz stop arguing"
- "Hi, it's me, here I am, just wanted to say hi, okibyenow"
- random oneliner
- user using any thread like a open chat
Have this people never been on a forum before?!
