I wonder how different calculators would handle that equation.

x is not 51. Here is how to solve 5(10+x-1)=60.

First, multiply all numbers in the parentheses by 5, then discard the 5. You now have 50+5x-5=60.

Next, add 5 to the result to offset the -5 at the end of the equation, and discard the -5. You now have 50+5x=65.

Now, subtract 50 from the result to offset the 50 at the start of the equation, discarding the 50. You now have 5x=15.

Finally divide the result by 5 to offset 5x, discarding the 5. You now have x=3, the answer to the equation.

Oh, I forgot another way to get a real number from infinity: subtracting infinity from infinity, which is 0.
