Plans for the landings and campaign of southern France included the capture of Toulon by the French 2nd corps. Seeking to exploit German weakness, the french pushed up the landing date by a bit. Once ashore he divided his group into 2, an American ranger unit and a free French unit including an African commando unit, both on their way to Toulon.

Start of the battle was me moving my French armored units and Africa commandos toward the left flank, the defenses held for a bit but eventually collapsed, the center and right flank was mainly attritional with no major gains, however when the armor broke through to the German flank they had to send units to defend, immediately I sent reserves to encircle and crush the remaining center defenses, and the Germans started to retreat from the town.
