And idk if he’s joking or not cuz he already tried to end it once but failed luckily
Call 911, tell them their chess.com username, details about the person, what they said, and whatever else feels right.

I'm sure there's some tech guru the police could notify and get his IP address linked to his name somehow or just go off of the IP.
If he’s joking about such a topic, he deserves the consequences. I would call, but it’s all up to you.

Chess.com has your IP. It’s how they can IP ban you. That’s why I recommend that you call 911 and tell them their username. It could seriously help them, and its worth it to try.

You might want to talk with your parents about this, or step outside and talk with the police. I don't think it would be wise to call 911 first, then talk with your parents. Just because the police would then want to talk if I had to guess. Just follow your gut.
You could save someone’s life here. It’s not easy to call, but I would. And since he’s close to you, I’m sure you want what’s best for him. Good luck, and let us know how it goes.
