you won’t be banned without evidence. They were banned for a reason.
I'm stressed out...

Experiencing the same issue, I am being addicted to the site in the past I used to have fun with many activities but after this social thing, I am being controlled by chess.com social side!

bro we all suffer from what you suffer , I myself asked this to myself multiple times
But if you are not sure of your decision, don't do it as CC community is now part of you and it requires strong will to leave it
Just try to organise yourself , haters are everywhere in world either social or real life
Face the sunshine and the shadow will be at your back
Seek the positive side of everything and ignore everything bad

What do you think is making you not leave otf? The friends and community? Maybe this being a form of relaxation for you? Or maybe because you like socializing? When you take a decision, the first thing you should think about is why you are doing it in the first place, and is it worth your time?

Same

I would love if you could stay, but I understand if you have to leave, everyone needs a break.
Thanks for your work tho, it was important for chess.com.

This was an interesting post. When deciding to leave or not, you have to think of a few things.
1. will my irl life be better if I leave the site or spend less time on it?
2. is it worth the time to stay here? Think of some good and bad reasons for doing so.
You shouldn’t leave because of trolls. That’s their whole goal. By leaving the social side of chess.com, you’re saying, “hey viroh, you’ve been very rude and have caused me to leave the site”. That’s what he wants. Now, leaving because you’re stressed with school and social problems could be good. Here’s my suggestion.
Take a break for a few weeks. If you find that you don’t need OTF anymore and have decided you want to leave, you can. But, think about it long and hard before doing anything.

Can you list what I did for Chess.com? What if Chess.com Social was there without me?
I might leave, I might stay, but I just need your opinions. Thanks for your opinion @Isengard1

Yup, I might take a break. Problem is many people will demote me because of my inactivity.

Yes, I need to take a decision. When a person makes a final decision, he/she needs to not tweak anything. my decision needs to be final.

for me , I was happy that a fellow Egyptian is on social side finally
I was alone all this time and you went so far and you are now an important member of community
I am pretty sure that I have more haters than you and I am at 1900 for 2 years so if you want to improve at chess and not to face trolls , I suggest the following
Leave useless clubs and keep your loved once and make some time for community for eg 2 hours in day maximum
Ignore trolls , like you did recently and things will work out

13 I had a similar fear, "being forgotten on otf". But after I finally made "the decision", I came back this month to see a ton of new people and not half of them knew me, and within a week I've already made several friends. Turns out, it wasn't that bad. It's hard to leave something you are committed too, but addiction is a lot worse than that.

Also @KingOfBrilliancy You can reduce your daily time of checking the site, I am trying to do this and it slowly works.
Checking chess.com once a day is a great choice for you..

Mhm. Sounds good. Will try to minimize my time on this site more and more until I have a healthy dose of my social side. I wish if Chess.com added a mode where you can't access anything social unless you have the password to unlock that.
Hello friends
I'm now at the peak of stress emotions - this is not looking good for me. Until April 2024 since I was born, I lived my happiest life ever. Even the yearly exams were nice and beautiful (yes, until now, the exams I take are amazing). When I discovered the social side of Chess.com in May 2024, even things back then were amazing. Since June 2024 when I had my first ever social conflict in my life, I was already worried. Even though I won all conflicts in my social journey, I still feel bad. I regret even starting the social journey in the first place. Yes, I have a lot of fans (you guys are amazing), but I also have some haters, and as you can see, now the social side is full of trolls. I don't care who's the troll - Viroh, Maestro, or even idiot box - those are truly horrible people. There are so many innocent people who got banned/muted, I don't see what they did wrong, like @aki, @KarmaTheKat, @PoliN999, @Branache10, etc. I'm so frustrated and extremely worried I would be next. I've been a hard worker on Chess.com for 6 months, so seeing this breaks my heart.
I may/may not completely leave the social side of Chess.com, I've said this before multiple times, but this might be it. (disclaimer: I'm saying "might", so maybe something happens that may change my mind). When I start streaming on Twitch (proper streaming), I might leave the clubs. I don't have the equipment for streaming, but I'm trying to do so.
Chess.com Social is now officially not as safe as it was. Especially the forum trolls (you know who) they are absolutely horrible. I might go back to the glory old days, I might just play chess, no Chess.com Social, no OTF. I may start making blogs though. And they will only be about chess - no off topic. Life back then was so peaceful when I was just playing chess, I was improving, but since I discovered Chess.com Social, I'm stuck at 1500 - and even tilting.
I'm extremely sad and crying right now, my action to get into the world of Chess.com Social, is it a true decision, or a false decision?? I don't even know what's going on in this world right now..
Speaking about the Chess.com Community Club, I disabled forum notifications - so I don't get those troll forums, but I still feel like trolls are there. Many people left the Community Club just because of those people. There's a force that makes me leave, but that makes me break the alliance between me and Chess.com Staff.
I'm in a dilemma - do I stay in the social side and keep growing, or do I put an end to it? Please put your comments, I extremely need your opinions.
regards,
KOB
