In west Philadelphia born and raised. On the playground where I spent most of my days. Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool. And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school, when a couple of guys, they were up to no good, started making trouble in my neighbourhood. I got in one little fight and my mom got scared and said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-air"!!

Hi jojofan85. A friend of mine that lives in Phila 20 years now said to me the farther away from downtown the safer the neirghborhoods are. In particular I know the West side. Suburbs like Bala-Cynwyd, Haverford, and Bryn Mawr, are pretty close commute to downtown using septa railroad system. In case you might be interested in chess lessons from the masters, then you should know that Dan Heissman and Igor Khmelnistky live in the area. I don't know where Dan teaches but you may ask him and move there, also, Igor teaches in King of Prussia which is where the mall is, and again move there if you want regular lesson with him.
