I would say that iOS 8 is a bit dated, and rather than tweaking outdated software one should upgrade to the current software. If your device is old and unable to be updated, I would suggest buying a new device. Additionally, it may be an issue with your device being old rather than an issue with the software. Chess.com tends to run best on updated software anyways. Best of luck
