Is a broken resin chess set desirable?

Hi,  my husband was given a resin chess set that has a sticker on the bottom "Made In China".  The board itself is broken - the pressed board is cracked in one area and one of the legs came off with some pieces chipped off of it.  All the chessmen are there though and they're in good condition.  I want to sell this, but not sure if I should just trash the board and sell just the pieces or sell the board separately or what.  Any suggestions?  Also, if I were to sell it, how much is something like this worth?

I honestly have no idea about how much it's worth, but I think that if it's worth enough that you can turn a decent profit, then you might want to get the board fixed and sell it as a set, which will appeal to more customers and sell for a higher price. Also, if it's a "meaningful" gift (as in your husband's best friend gave it to him or something like that) then there's always the question of if it's morally correct to sell a gift that someone else gave you.

Thanks.  It was actually given to my husband from a customer of his (he owned a moving company) because they just didn't want to bother with it.  So no sentimental value at all.  Matter of fact, this thing was sitting in my garage for years before I even found it.  My husband forgot about it.  My husband doesn't recall if it was broken or not when he got it.

Where would I even start to find someone to fix this?

I'm thinking of maybe asking around at either antique or thrift stores to see if they've had anything like it.  Although the set isn't my style, I'm sure someone would find the pieces interesting if not absolutely liking them.
