Is a hot dog a toco or a sandwich?

Neither, it's a hot dog. An interesting aside, in S.A. we use use the term 'hot dog' to refer to the entire thing - roll, sausage and relish - but from what I understand, Americans call the sausage part the hot dog. We call that a 'vienna'.
