Is ADHD real?
What are the best treatments and medication for ADHD? (In your opinion or experience.)
Usually, people with ADHD take stimulants like Ritalin or Adderall. But ADHD must be diagnosed by a certified professional like a medical doctor or psychiatrist. And it is essential to not take any meds without prescription.
I’m no expert but I find it highly suspicious that a person can fill out a one page questionnaire and be prescribed adderall (which is abused by a lot of people). It’s also suspicious that stimulants don’t help some people, therefore there are also non stimulants available. But a lot of insurance plans do not cover them so some doctors will talk their patients into using stimulants anyway. And when they don't work, the stimulation increases anxiety problems—then the patient is put on anxiety medication.
I don’t think ADHD is what people think it is. It exists in the sense that it is the symptom of other problems. My opinion and belief is similar to behavioral neurologist Dr. Richard Saul. He is a qualified expert and says that ADHD is not a disorder in and of itself but the symptom of other conditions.
But weather or not it exists there’s definitely a problem. Young people should not be feeling the way that they do these days. Somethings wrong.

But to answer your question: I think medication should be a last resort. Other methods need to be explored first and given a long term chance. People have to be patient, not every thing can be solved in a day.
